Uses & Applications
There
are many uses for 3D visualisations that you may wish to consider. The
following headings may give you an idea of what you could use it for,
but by no means should they limit your imagination regarding potential
applications. Click on the thumbnails to view a larger image.
-
Stylish imagery for web sites
At
its most obvious level, the 3D work can simply provide images with a
different look to your usual web graphics.
- Images for presentations
or printed media
3D images look particularly good in powerpoint presentations but transfer
equally well to printed media such as information packs and company
portfolios. Nottingham Forest will be using a number of the City Ground
images in season ticket and information packs to illustrate seat positions
etc. Having recently developed contacts in the printing industry, we
could even offer an all encompasing package, involving the design and
printing of professional brochures, leaflets or info packs.
- Marketing and design
of new products
Perhaps
your marketing company are presenting a new style of packaging for a
chocolate bar or selection box. A 3D image can look far more impressive
than a flat design and when used in conjunction with your original image,
it can provide a convincing package.
-
Concept realisation for patents etc
If
you have an idea for a design you wish to patent, we can produce a working
3D model at far lower costs than a real world model. We can even animate
the moving parts in a video format appropriate to your needs.
- Illustration of
product mechanisms
In a similar way to illustrating conceptual designs, current products
can be animated and made easier to understand. Full working mechanisms
can be shown, whilst sections of a product can be removed or made transparent
for display purposes.
- Architectural rendering
to bring 2D plans to life
Sometimes
it is hard to visualise a new property, simply from the architectural
plans. We can turn 2D blueprints into a realistic 3D property and bring
your new home to life. It can be a useful thing to do at any stage of
the design process, to analyse both the internal and external styling
as well as judging whether you have made the best use of the space available
inside the property. For that purpose, we can fill the house with YOUR
furniture and you can even rearrange your future living room too see
if your sofa fits in the corner or whether you're going to trip over
a table on the way out.
Many alterations can be made to your property, without paying an architect
to draw up new blueprints, which again, may be difficult to interpret.
For one of our housing projects, we provided 3 different bay windows
for a client, as well as altering the positions of the first floor windows.
It enabled the client to decide which style they prefered, as well as
illustrating to the planning authorities that the design was in keeping
with the existing architecture.
If
you are an architect or a property developer, we can also produce plans
for brochures and presentations for either individual houses or a larger
project. Further to the 3D perspective, we can produce front, side and
plan views.
This
process can also be applied to all other architectural work, such as
moving offices or renovating bars, shops or other existing buildings.
More details of these projects can be found in our portfolio.
